Our History

Our History

The VSVKCUK was founded in 1973 in London, marking a transformative milestone in the advancement of humanitarian service for the betterment of the people of Variav, Surat (Gujarat, India).

Its formation was inspired by the pioneering spirit of the first Variav immigrants to the UK and the heartfelt guidance of Marhoom Abdur Rahman Sema of Karachi, whose vision helped lay the foundation for a lasting legacy of faith-led service and community compassion.

Over the decades, VSVKCUK has grown into a respected UK-registered charity, steadfast in its mission to uplift the Variav community globally. Rooted in Islamic principles, the Committee continues to support healthcare, education, spiritual development, and the strengthening of community unity across generations and borders.
